Highway 30: Goodco Z-Tech inks best deal ever

Goodco Z-Tech has signed the biggest contract in its history with Nouvelle Autoroute 30 CJV. Under the agreement worth an estimated $2.4 million, Goodco Z-Tech will manufacture approximately 550 structural bearings and some 2707 feet (825 m) of expansion joints, to be installed on a total of 25 new structures for the Highway 30 completion project located in the Greater Montreal Area.

“We’re pleased to have won the confidence of Nouvelle Autoroute 30 CJV for a second time,” said Goodco Z-Tech’s general manager Denis Fleurent. “The first project we did for the consortium involved the manufacture of bearings and joints for three overpasses. This new contract is evidence of Goodco Z-Tech’s expertise as Canada’s largest manufacturer of structural bearings and expansion joints for bridges and its ability to successfully execute major projects such as this.”

Production will start at the Laval plant in late July so that deliveries can begin in September 2010 and will continue until the end of 2011.
